چکیده
As PT floor slabs become thinner, a doubt about its vibration behavior and comfort of occupants arises. This paper investigates several approaches for determining the post-tensioned human induced vibrations which can give high accuracy be considered as simple tools guide designers. It also studies with different span length, thicknesses relates response to natural frequency floor. The results show that slab is increased by decreasing length or increasing thickness. peak acceleration mainly decreased achieving acceptable thickness ratio all lengths studied. indicate practical thickness-span ratios designed deflection are expected vibration. limits validity floors discussed.

Punching strength of actual two-way slabs
Many building codes rely on empirical formulations with respect to the punching shear design provisions. Such empirical equations are typically calibrated on the basis of laboratory tests performed on simplified geometries (usually isolated specimens) with usually statically-determined loading conditions. On the contrary, actual structures, particularly two-way slabs, are continuous and highly ...
متن کاملShake Table Tests of Reinforced Concrete Flat Plate Frames and Post-tensioned Flat Plate Frames
A research study was undertaken to assess performance of flat plate systems constructed with slab shear reinforcement under dynamic loads. The research program consisted of shake table tests and accompanying analytical studies of two, approximately one-third scale, two-story, two-bay, slab-column frames. One specimen was constructed with reinforced concrete (RC) slab, whereas the other specimen...
متن کاملUnbonded Post Tensioned Concrete Slabs in Fire – Part II – Modelling Tendon Response and the Consequences of Localized Heating
This is Part II of a two part paper dealing with the current state of knowledge of the fire-safe structural design and construction of unbonded post-tensioned (UPT) flat plate concrete structures. Part I provided detailed results of nineteen transient high temperature stress relaxation tests on restrained UPT tendons of realistic length and parabolic longitudinal profiles. Experimentation ident...
متن کاملStrengthening of Existing RC Two-Way Slabs using New Combined FRP fabric/rod Technique
This study presents the results of an experimental program to investigate the effectiveness of an innovative combined FRP technique using combination of externally bonded (EB) FRP fabrics and near surface mounted (NSM) FRP rods for flexural strengthening of existing reinforced concrete (RC) two-wayslabs with low clear cover thickness. Three full-scale RC slabs (1500×1500×120 mm) were tested und...
متن کاملServiceability Response of Rehabilitated Unbonded Post-tensioned Indeterminate I-Beams Consisting UHSSCC
The ultra-high strength self-compacting concrete, UHSSCC is the new generation type of concrete with a compressive strength higher than 80MPa. The application of this type of concrete on the serviceability state in CFRP strengthened unbonded post-tensioned indeterminate I-beam is monitored and the results are compared theoretically using different standards. For this aim, full scale I-beam of 9...
